What you do:
Prepare the Background:
- Give each child a sheet of blue or black construction paper to represent the snowy sky.
Make the Footprint:
- Paint the bottom of the child’s foot with white paint using a paintbrush or sponge.
- Help them gently press their foot onto the construction paper, creating the body of the snowman.
- Allow the footprint to dry completely.
Add Snowman Features:
Once the footprint is dry, use black markers to draw eyes, a mouth, and buttons on the snowman.
Use orange craft paper to cut and add a carrot nose.
Decorate the Snowman:
- Cut and glue on a scarf and hands using colorful paper.
- Add a black paper top hat onto the snowman’s head.
Optional Background Decoration:
- Add cotton balls or glitter around the snowman to create a snowy effect.
- Cut out the footprint leaving some background paper and decorate the snowman.

Write the child’s name and date on the bottom of the paper.
